Tom
Dave

Wow, I wish I wasn't such a placid person, then I might have something to rant about. I need to be more irritable, seriously. I'm actually getting complaints, people saying that Dave's rants are funner to read. Come on, the boy writes about COFFEE. No offense, Dave, you know I love you.

Well, not much in the way of finding-interesting-things-in-the-internet has been happening recently, I've just been watching lots of Buffy - discovered that the local video store has something like every episode ever released and considering I started watching somewhere toward the end of the sixth series (or the fifth, or the seventh... don't knoW)... I've been doing a lot of catching up, though. Everyone looks so YOUNG, it's insane!

So, news news news - yes, it really has been a year since this humble comics started and could I be more excited? I reckon I could, but still, it is a milestone.

By way of celebration, I've sort of started work on a new comic project, which, knowing me, will probably never get past episode three and not see the light of day. I'm still going to do McVille, don't you worry, and it's going to keep the T-T-S schedule we know and love. I just thought I'd tell you about this newie because I'm completely stuck for things to talk about. It's pretty different to McVille in basically every way, so if you ever see it, don't be surprised if it's not what you expected. Which is impossible, because the fact that you're not surprised cancels out... bah, I can't be bothered typing an explanation. So, in conclusion, I'll just say that Massive Attack is cool.

Apparently Tom is badmouthing me in his rant today. I haven't read it yet, obviously, so here's my pre-emptive rejoinder:

Well up yours too, Tom. I never did like you anyway.

Moving on. I began this rant at school today, with the intention of emailing it home, finishing it and uploading it. That didn't happen. What a surprise. Ideas like that, so simple yet so complicated, never come to fruition. So really, this is an entirely new rant. I like this new rant. It has a much nicer feeling than the previous one. Mostly because I got to badmouth one of my best friends in the third sentence, which is always a nice, fuzzy, satisying feeling.

In conjuction with Tom Nicol, i'm reinventing an old Quake 1 clan in celebration of the soon to be released Jedi Knight 3. I've been sharpening my poor flash skills (and in this case, as so many others, I bow to Tom <-- and humbly submit my stuff is better than it used to be) in anticipation, throwing together the beginnings of a website. It's going to be completely different to the McVille website, and a completely different style for me, so I'm going to have some fun.

Anything else? Oh. I'm enjoying my coffee. One day I'm going to rant about the wonders of beer, but thats awhile off yet. I'll let it stew for a bit, and see if I can think of anything cosmic to utter in regard to that spectacular beverage. Tom can't beat me to it either, because he doesn't drink. HAhahahah.

Peace out.
