Tom
Dave

Third rant! And I promise I won't keep keeping count.

I'm actually supposed to be doing physics at the moment, but who cares. My dad keeps coming in and going "Do your homework!" Oh, well, his heart's in the right place.

My good friend Bich's comic, Smoot is up. Don't expect to understand anything, though, it's all in-jokes, but it's still funny.

I really need to find a good topic to rant about so I can go on and on and on like Dave did on Tuesday, except perhaps less boring.

Anyway, today's episode introduces a new character, Bran. Bran is Evan's dog. He was designed before the first episode of McVille hit the internet (as were several other characters introduced way after episode 1, namely Moobak and Ryan). I have to say, though, damn Bran is difficult to draw.

Hmm... oh, good site I found the other day. Well, I didn't find it, I followed a link on the KeenSpace Forum. Still - Air Toons.

Now, because of the way this new layout is designed, Dave and I have to write all of our rants in HTML. So, finally, all those classes we did in year 9 finally pay off. I remember the textbook, too - "Elaine is rushing home today. Why? Because today she is going to publish her very first webpage on the World Wide Web!"
Jeez, Elaine, that's incredible. I sincerely hope her Very First Website wasn't one that went "Hi, I'm Elaine! I like blank, blank, and blank! Here is a picture of my dog." Although the following example showed me that it WAS one of those.
I really hate all of those websites like that, what a pointless waste of time. I admit, my first website was something like that, but if I could go back in time, I'd delete it. Well, I wouldn't, because I'd be sort of wrapped up in the novelty of being able to go back in time. Etc etc.
Anyway, there's only one sort of website that annoys me more than those, and that's the kind that has a giant list of which videos/dvds/playstation games/etc you own. I'll be looking for a review of, say, Final Fantasy Tactics, and all I'll find are these lists. "Look at my numerous games that I own!"
Are you selling them? No. Are you reviewing them? No. Are you putting them up for download? No. They're just up there. And man, it gives me the irrits.

Hey, this rant actually turned out to be a rant! Incredible.

Firstly, an apology for the boring nature of last episode's rant.

Life can be a bitch can't it? You think everything's fine, but you turn your back for an instant and it all goes to the metaphorical sh!t.

I am a sufferer of a reasonably rare condition (no-one really knows how prevalant it is) called Wolff Parkinson's White Sydrome. It makes my heart beat waaaay too fast on occasion, and generally scares the life out me. Anyway, I went and had some surgery done to fix it up (they burn out the offending bit of muscle on my heart, and hey presto! I'm fine). That was some two months ago.

Since then, I've been pretty good. Up until two weeks ago. Then I had an episode that only lasted about 30 seconds (they can go anywhere up to about 15 minutes). There was no doubt. I know what a Wolff Parkinson's attack feels like, and this was one of them.

I went and saw my cardiologist today. I told him about the episode, and he called for an ECG (Electro-Cardio-Graph). I was hooked up to the ECG and they printed out what my heart was doing.

Turns out that they damaged the muscle during my last operation, but they didn't destroy it, which means more surgery for me. The extra muscle causing the problems is near the one I need to stay alive, which is why they erred on the side of caution last time. The last thing anyone wants to do is put me in a position requiring a pacemaker for the rest of my life.

Let's just hope they get it this time. I could also choose to go on drugs for the rest of my life, but that doesn't really appeal to me. I'd prefer some quick, painless surgery over that. :P
